As a key branch of modern display technology, customized LED displays are based on the array arrangement and electroluminescent properties of semiconductor light-emitting diodes. By integrating a large number of tiny LEDs in a specific matrix onto a PCB substrate, coupled with driver circuits and control systems, they achieve high-brightness, high-contrast image and video display capabilities.
From a technical perspective, customized LED displays primarily consist of a display unit, a scan driver circuit, a signal processing system, and a power module. Each LED contains red, green, and blue primary color chips. By precisely controlling the brightness ratio of these three primary colors, over 16 million colors can be blended. Driven by an electrical signal, electrons and holes recombine at the PN junction, releasing energy, which manifests as visible light of a specific wavelength. The key to customized design lies in adjusting the pixel pitch according to the application scenario, ranging from the P10 (10mm dot pitch) commonly used for large outdoor screens to finer pitch products such as P1.5 and even smaller P0.9. A smaller pitch means higher resolution and more detailed display effects. Differential signal processing technology is used for signal transmission. Raw image data is received via interfaces such as HDMI, DVI, or optical fiber. After scaling, correction, and format conversion by the video processor, the scan controller drives the LED modules sequentially in rows or columns. Active drive circuits ensure independent current control for each pixel, and PWM (pulse-width modulation) dimming technology enables precise grayscale adjustment. Current high-end products can achieve 16-bit color depth and over 65,000 levels of brightness.
The core advantage of customized LED displays lies in their highly flexible adaptability. Through technologies such as custom-shaped cutting and curved splicing, they can be adapted to unique installation environments such as building facades and cylindrical structures. Intelligent upgrades to the control system support HDR dynamic range extension, local dimming, and simultaneous multi-source display, making them widely used in professional applications such as command centers, commercial displays, and stadiums. With breakthroughs in Mini LED and Micro LED technology, customized displays will achieve further optimization in terms of pixel density, energy consumption, and lifespan.
